WATER IS LIFE FUNDRAISING EVENT Monday, 30th May 2011

Our MC for the night is Simon Rogers, an ABC radio presenter, comedian and TV personality. He is Melbourne's master of live comedy, a theatre sports legend and MC extraordinaire, having hosted over 3000 shows. There will also be a guest appearance by Mbapani Ngitoria, a Masai warrior from Tanzania who will share his experiences of life as a member of Tanzania's most colourful and traditional tribe, and Tracey Sawyer, founder of Testigo Africa, will present a short documentary of her personal journey with the Masai and the reasons she responded so passionately to their request for help to bring running water to Longido village. PERFORMANCES BY: Emma Leak from Cosmic Creations - the combination of great light workers, dancers, stilt walkers, performers and costume creators Marilla Homes who performs as a professional opera singer, as well as a folk singer and fronts a band which dabbles in folk, blues, country, jazz and rock Riley Jordan a singer-songwriter with the vocal warmth of Seal, the professional lyricism of Joni Mitchell and the raw emotion of John Lee Hooker Tracey Roberts with smooth, warm and eloquent vocals, and a big voice ranging from full on blasts to delicate whispers Mzuri Dance will be performing an energetic dance and drumming performance guaranteed to get more than your toes tapping! Andrew Goodone hilarious comedian will help you laugh your way to making a difference You'll witness the premier of a film clip of a joint musical project using traditional Masai chants and the voice of Australian composer Riley Jordan, set to stunning visuals of tribal life.

Tracey Sawyer, filmmaker, lawyer and philanthropist, will give an audio visual presentation on the testigo africa Masai water project. MC – Christie Heart PERFORMANCES BY: Sarah Butler Acoustic - Sarah’s pure voice and presence, remind one of a young, more contemporary, Joni Mitchell. Dave McFarlane & One Day Bluesy - folk serious player, great original songs. Performs with his band One Day. Dave is also our brilliant sound engineer for the night. Khristian Mizzi Acoustic - award winning singer/songwriter. Khristian has an amazing voice, is mesmerising to watch and yes, he’s good-looking too! The Yo Yo Men Rock & Soul - Cool, stylish and fun. dance or kick back and enjoy the sound. Harry Harrison (vocals and electric guitar), damon Brogan (bass), tony richardson (drums), Paul Belfrage (saxophone, flute) and Cres Crisp (piano, keys). Christie Heart with Andrew Shrape Acoustic - a charismatic performer, Christie will play a mix of original songs and favourites with Andrew Shrape on Irish Bouzouki and violin. Riley Jordan Acoustic - a popular singer/songwriter with a phenomenal voice reminiscent of Toni Childs. She’s a warm, earthy, classy lady and we are lucky to have her! Briony Mackenzie & Terry Springford Acoustic - a brilliant voice and great original songs, Briony will play solo and with Terry Springford, who performs his own original material.
